Hunger Games (reread)

This past reading class, I did not have a book to read.  So at the last minute I asked Charlie if I could borrow The Hunger Games because he was reading the scuba diving book.  I had already read the book and the other two books in the series and they are my favorite.  I love the action, the drama, and the description in the characters.  My favorite part, which I reread the other day, is the beginning of the actual games in the first book.  When she is standing on the metal platform her thoughts are described so well, I feel like I am there with her thinking the same things, about Peeta, Prim, the capitol, her first step.  It gets more intense as the story goes on.  For example; the second morning she is strapped in bed and she hears footsteps.  It is a pack of “Careers” including Peeta, she is still and cannot move a muscle.  People get killed and there are chase scenes that describe the scene like I am watching a movie.  I found out about this book from Owen Marks, he said it has great action, and great descriptions, and he loved it.  I read it and couldn’t put it down.  I then recommended it too my Dad, my Brother, and so many others that loved it.  If you haven’t read it I highly recommend it.  There are also two other books in the series Catching Fire and Mogingjay.  They are my favorite books ever.

  1. You make this book seem so appealing!!!! I think many kids would like this book because of its action. Are they going to make another book in the series????
