The book I am continuing to read is Twelve. I have not made much progress because of our class book: Haroun and the Sea of Stories. Anyways, in the book twelve (if you have not read my previous blog) the main character/narrator is Winnie. She is a fun, happy, tween that just turned twelve and is a little bit socially awkward. Her friend is Dinah and it is kind of a confusing relationship between each other. Dinah thinks they are BFF’s but Winnie doesn’t think the same thing. Winnie went to summer camp with her other friend Amanda, but didn’t invite Dinah. I’m not sure if Dinah found out about the camp situation, but if she did her feeling would have been hurt. I like this book because, even if it is about a girl that goes through changes that I don’t go through, I can still relate to her in many ways about middle school life. Also, I like this book because the reader really gets inside Winnie’s head. She is an emotional person, but she holds a lot of it in, and being in her mind is fun to read. I would recommend this book to anybody and everybody who is looking for a book like this. It is a fun read for all people.
